Graveyard
— The last painting
This is the last painting Arthur Lloy painted. The oil was
still wet on the board the day he passed away. This is the only
grave yard scene he has ever painted and oddly, he signed his
name in an unusual place. For any Arthur Lloy you come across,
his signature will always be either in the bottom left or bottom
right hand side of his painting.
This painting , I believe,
is an adaptation of a picture which Arthur Lloy had come
across and then used it as the inspiration
for this painting.
Sadly, it
was to be his last. The subject matter and especially the way he decided
to sign his name on the grave stone has always made me think
that
maybe his sub-conscience
new something that his conscience mind did not.
He was a brilliant artist who
has left us a mere glimpse into his vision and these are
a few examples of his artistry and talent.
